Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's cuisine is a means to explore her life. Food that she cooks is a source of fascination that grew from moving beyond the outskirts of Long Island and into the multi-cultural environment in Los Angeles. The belief that cavatelli and carnitas could coexist seamlessly on the same menu conveys a sensibility which continues to evolve. But what remains throughout her menu is an unifying view of the future that longingly remembers the past. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso founded in 2013, was well-received since it was in the spirit of her Italian heritage. Lofaso is lauded by her fans for her rendition of traditional Italian dishes. Lofaso serves consistently delicious food at Scopa which is a favorite of the neighborhood. The patrons call it authentic and satisfying. Lofaso was trained by renowned chefs to master their methods. She was also not afraid to take bold decisions in order in order to follow her intuition. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went into working closely with famous chefs in a variety of Los Angeles kitchens. In the year 2011, Lofaso partnered along with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. The bar was eventually able to get a place within Black Market as well as the alliances she created. The creative spirit of Lofaso will be facilitated with this partnership. Black Market doesn't have one distinct direction. This is the intention. A meal could start with chipped potatoes and peppers with Dill. Then it's Korean meatballs and wings. Antonia Chef Antonia Lofaso's vision who created this delicious menu full of bold flavors is what anchors the whole. Lofaso measures her success throughout her career by her ability to know her audience and remain loyal to her character. Her unforgettable performance of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her individuality outside the kitchen. Her talents remain in the spotlight of cameras as a panelist on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and in regular roles on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso joined forces in partnership with Penguin in 2012 to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook, 100 Recipes to prepare Delicious Home-cooked Meals. This book also contains her personal story of the challenges she encountered while studying at an institution called the French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all of her successes stem from her love of cooking. She is in a position to stay on the pulse of this industry by focusing on her kitchen. Through the Chefletics brand, she's altering the appearance of the industry, by creating clothing for chefs that is stylish and also serves a functionality. Lofaso believes in being true to yourself and your vision. To accomplish this, she's launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. The new company will offer a tailored experience to clients.
